Announcing the International Network for Music Theology

As members of the FMCS, we are pleased to announce the launch of the International Network for Music Theology, an interdisciplinary network of researchers and organisations based at Durham University (UK). Know that our intention is not to duplicate the activities of FMCS, but to extend such conversations across various disciplinary boundaries. Also, we plan to sponsor publishing projects that will highlight current research in music theology.

One of our initial goals for the INMT is to connect with as many researchers and practicing musicians as possible who are engaged in the study of music and theology. To accomplish this, our recently launched website has a survey form for providing the following information:
. A brief description of current research related to music theology
. Suggestions of music theology writings and relevant conferences for possible posting
. Names and contact information for people or institutions that may be interested

We encourage you to register your interest in the INMT and help us contact others with similar interest by completing the survey at www.dur.ac.uk/musictheology.

Best Regards,
Joshua Waggener (Durham University PhD student in Music Theology and Administrator, International Network for Music Theology)

On behalf of:
Professor Bennett Zon (Chairman, Durham University Department of Music)
Professor Carol Harrison (Durham University Department of Theology)
